Michael Peters

Consulting Hypnotist

If you feel lost, confused, or frustrated, you're in the right place. You've tried everything else, and hypnosis was never something you considered in the past — but something changed. You reached a point where conventional techniques weren't getting you the results you wanted and thought, why not? Let's try something new. Maybe hypnosis helped your friend kick a lifelong smoking habit. Maybe Grandma used hypnosis alongside her pain medication and it amplified her relief. Maybe you're just curious about a modality that's been around for over 4,000 years, going all the way back to ancient Egyptian sleep temples. Whatever brought you here, welcome!

I'm Michael Peters, and I'm honored you're considering working with me. As a Consulting Hypnotist, I'm primarily an educator. I teach clients self-hypnosis techniques to reduce stress, manage pain, improve sleep and change habits. To be clear, I'm not a therapist or a doctor. I just help amplify the results you're already getting from your doctors and mental health professionals. Hypnosis isn't magic; it's a science-backed adjunct to the care you're already receiving. You don't even need to "believe" in it to see results. Real change doesn't need to be complicated. It only requires consistent action over time. I look forward to working with you!

Stop Smoking Program

Becoming a non-smoker is more than just breaking a bad habit. This program also targets the stress and triggers that cause you to smoke in the first place. The first session is where you stop. The following sessions teach you the skills to remain a non-smoker for good.

  • 3 sessions

  • Included: MP3 hypnosis recording for daily listening (changing habits requires daily practice)

  • Included: PDF guide with techniques to help you ride out cravings when they hit hardest

Change Your Relationship with Food

Your relationship with food is, well, complicated. You know you SHOULD eat a salad but that donut just keeps calling your name. What if choosing the salad didn’t feel like you were missing out? What if you actually ENJOYED working out? What if you could still go out with friends to dinner without the guilt? “Calories in calories out” is an oversimplification of your struggles.

That's why plans built on willpower alone tend to break down. The goal isn’t just about “losing weight” it’s about becoming a healthier version of yourself and letting the weight fall off naturally. That shift in mindset could make all the difference.

A good fit if you're also using a GLP-1 (like Wegovy or Zepbound). These medications can quiet appetite, but they don't rebuild the habits and relationship with food that keep weight off once your plan changes. This helps with that side of it, alongside your prescriber's care, never in place of it.

Quiet the Noise

Fibromyalgia isn't just muscle tension. It's a condition called central sensitization, where the nervous system turns up the volume on pain, so ordinary signals arrive amplified and very real. Because so much of that happens in how the nervous system processes signals, the approaches that tend to help most are the ones that work on the nervous system itself: movement, sleep, stress regulation, and mind-body skills.

This structured 12-session program is built around four areas that drive fibromyalgia, and it's designed to work alongside your medical care, not replace it.

  • Calming the pain signal. Guided self-hypnosis aimed at how your nervous system processes and responds to pain, so you're working on the "volume knob," not just the muscle.

  • Deeper, more restorative sleep. Techniques to quiet the wired, racing feeling before bed and support the deep, slow-wave sleep that helps keep pain in check.

  • A calmer stress response. Techniques that help settle the "fight-or-flight" (sympathetic) nervous system, the high-alert state that keeps pain amplified.

  • Making movement feel possible again. Exercise is the single best-supported treatment for fibromyalgia, and its hardest part is starting. We work on the fear and pain-related worry that get in the way, so you can keep doing the thing the evidence supports most.

What's included

  • 12 sessions, in person or over Zoom.

  • Daily audio practice — targeted hypnosis recordings (MP3s) to reinforce the work at home.

  • A symptom-tracking journal, so you and I can see what's actually changing.

  • A downloadable resource guide (PDF) of research-informed pain and stress-regulation techniques.

An honest note. Hypnosis is a low-risk modality that uses evidence based techniques. It isn't medical treatment and isn't a cure. It works best as an add-on to your existing care. Participation requires a fibromyalgia diagnosis from your physician.
